Bromsgrove funeral directors expand into Studley with help from John Truslove

They have acquired Studley counterparts A Dyer and Sons and, with the help of Redditch property agents John Truslove, found a new facility for the operation at 28 High Street in the town centre.

The firm has taken 1,740 sq ft on a five year lease.

Now run by third, fourth and fifth generations of the family, the company is very positive about the new branch

Established in 1916 James Giles and Sons has another James Giles at the head, the founder’s great-grandson.

Mr Giles, one of the directors, said: “We had heard that those running A Dyer and Sons were looking to retire, and so stepped in.

“We have taken over the business, and this is very much an expansion for us.

“It is a new location, a significant investment and we are determined to make a success of it.”

Ian Parker, a director of John Truslove, said: “It is never too late to make your first acquisition.

“They have chosen a prominent location in the heart of Studley and, with so much traffic passing through the town these days, people will quickly become aware of their presence.”
