Commercial property agency John Truslove is helping to bring the popular Monster Mayhem soft play brand to Redditch this October.
The move will give a fresh lease of life to a well-known former soft play area on the Redditch Trading Centre that closed a year ago.
Monster Mayhem Redditch is due to open this October half term after a complete refurbishment of the existing premises on New Meadow Road, adding the site to the firm’s existing centres at Star City in Birmingham – which it has run since 2014 – and Dudley Port in Tipton.
James Haynes, apprentice surveyor at John Truslove, helped the Monster Mayhem team seal a deal for a 10-year lease on the premises at Units 4&5 at the Redditch Trading Centre, which together total 9,672 sq ft.
Faisal Aslam, director at Monster Mayhem, said: “The centre had run under a variety of names over a long period of time. When we heard it had closed, we got in touch with the team at John Truslove and they have been extremely helpful throughout the whole process.
“When we looked into the business, it was clear it was very popular and we believe, with the improvements we are making, it will be a strong addition to our existing centres.
“We will be running it as a franchise operation and are currently refreshing the look of the centre, with new décor, new seating and furniture, new facilities like a large inflatable, a drop slide, quad bikes, new party room and even wi-fi for the parents while the children play.”
