Ben Truslove gears up for touring car season with good outing at Silverstone

Redditch commercial property agent Ben Truslove fought his way up ten places in the first round of the CTCRC Pre-66 Touring Cars & Group 1 Touring Car Championship at Silverstone on Saturday (26 March).

Qualifying 30th on a grid of 40 cars, he powered past ten cars during the 11 lap race to finish 20th overall and third in class.

Ben, aged 42, is the son of the founder of John Truslove Chartered Surveyors & Valuers, who had a distinguished motor racing career, competing in classic racing cars in the UK and across Europe, including Monaco and Pau.

He is racing a Ford Lotus Cortina, sponsored by John Truslove Chartered Surveyors & Valuers, and shares the drive with Rob Kerkhoven.

Ben said: “This was our first outing in the car, and I was really pleased that we could make good progress in a huge field of 40 cars, picking up ten places in 11 laps.

“This gives us confidence for the next round we are competing in, where Dad and I will be racing at Oulton Park on Saturday 28 May.“

It was a double celebration for Ben in March as he has been ranked second most successful dealmaker in the UK in the 2021 EG Radius On-Demand Rankings.

He negotiated 89 sales and lettings during the year in a top ten dominated by partners from all the UK’s leading property agencies.

He was the top industrial and commercial property agent in the West Midlands.

The agency, John Truslove, came first in Worcestershire and third in Warwickshire.

And the business will this year celebrate 40 years since it was launched in 1982 by John Truslove.
