John Truslove helps Entaco expand to provide hand sanitiser to the NHS and global markets
Property agents John Truslove have helped a world famous Redditch medical supplies company expand rapidly to supply hand sanitiser to the NHS and global customers.
Entaco has taken a further 6,668 sq ft and created six new jobs immediately at 63 Heming Road to produce Inspec HG, an alcohol hand sanitiser, which was created by the firm’s Midlands operation in just three weeks.
Meanwhile, Ian Parker, joint managing director of John Truslove, was working with Steve Brown, operations director at Entaco, to source the right space that was available for immediate occupation.
He said: “Entaco already occupy two properties in Heming Road – Unit 46 with 21,002 sq ft and Unit 90, some 32,517 sq ft – and it was fortunate that just down the road we were able to offer them the vacant 63 Heming Road for their new production facility.
“With everyone pulling together, we were able to conclude this deal in under two weeks, with the legal advice being completed in just one week.”
Redditch has a long needle making history and Entaco dates back to 1932 when two companies joined forces to create The English Needle and Fishing Tackle Company, now known as Entaco.
The company produces needles for a range of medical and sewing requirements, as well as its new range of hand sanitiser.
Steve Brown said: “As an old Redditch firm ourselves, we turned to the Redditch property experts and Ian and his team quickly understood what we needed and were able to offer us 63 Heming Road which was available immediately.
“With goodwill on all sides and the landlords relaxing much of the usual protocol, the deal was quickly done and the legal documentation completed, enabling us to get up and running as quickly as possible.”
He said that hand gel was clearly going to be a way of life for everyone for a long time, if not permanently, and there was clear global demand as well as a need to supply the NHS in the UK.
Ian Parker said: “Local knowledge is paramount in property matters and we were very pleased to be able to coordinate such a rapid and timely response to a pressing need for immediate space.”
CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang acted for the landlords, and Entaco were advised by law firm Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa.
