John Truslove named one of West Midlands’ top five most active industrial property agents
Worcestershire’s leading business property consultants John Truslove have been named among the top five Most Active Industrial Agents in the West Midlands in a national survey.
John Truslove featured in the EG Deals Competition 2018 which reports on the UK’s most active agents by region.
The business is headed up by joint managing directors Ian Parker and Ben Truslove.
Ian Parker said: “To come fifth in a league table which recognises the results of all industrial property agents in the West Midlands proves what we at John Truslove have long believed, that dedication, hard work, professionalism and unrivalled market knowledge will continually enable us to outperform many much larger firms.
“Bigger is not always better.”
Ben Truslove added: “The survey notes that success in buying and selling industrial space is key in the West Midlands and once again we delivered in 2018.
“Recent deals of note included the letting of 77,000 sq ft to Cassellie at Padgets Lane in Redditch and 31,000 sq ft at Thornhill Road, Redditch, to Sterimedix, both securing hundreds of jobs for the region.
“Our success is based on understanding the needs of occupiers, not just what is currently available, and working hard to match their needs with the right property, whether they have moved because of expansion or for technical requirements.
“This also enables us to advise our landlord clients to develop the correct premises. Royal Enfield Business Park is a prime example. Following our advice, EDR Developments built the right mix of units and we were able to pre-let half the estate with the remaining being let within six months of completion.”
Established in 1981 by John Truslove, now a consultant to the firm, John Truslove has long been regarded as Worcestershire’s “go-to” business property consultant, and in recent years, following demand from clients, has started to assist businesses across the region to find new premises.
Ian Parker said: “John was rightly known as ‘Mr Redditch’ in the marketplace, and we have built on the solid foundations he established.
“Despite ongoing uncertainty in the UK economy, businesses in the West Midlands have taken a pragmatic view and are looking to the long term, not just the short and medium term.”
