John Truslove proves natural choice for commercial property investment experts Collingwood Rigby’s search for new offices

When commercial property investment and asset management company Collingwood Rigby needed to find a new base of operations, it naturally turned to Redditch-based commercial property advisers John Truslove.

The two businesses have a working relationship going back more than a quarter of a century with John Truslove handling sale and leasing agreements in the Worcestershire area on behalf of Collingwood Rigby and its extensive portfolio of investment clients.

Rupert Jeffries, senior partner at Collingwood Rigby, said: “We are maintaining our offices in central Birmingham, at Temple Row West, but needed new space for our admin team and team of chartered surveyors and asset managers when they are not on the road.

“We were relocating them from our previous offices in Harborne. We wanted somewhere in the Redditch area for convenience because most of our people live around this area and its central location is ideal.

“We have worked with John Truslove for many years and have a really strong relationship, so we knew they had an unrivalled knowledge of the local commercial property market. They were just the automatic choice to help us find the right offices – and they succeeded.

“Our new offices at Ipsley Barn in Redditch are perfect for our needs, with their open plan layout and flexibility. Finding these admin offices is part of future-proofing our business.”

Ian Parker, joint managing director at John Truslove, helped Collingwood Rigby secure a five-year lease on 1,376 sq ft of office space at Ipsley Barn, on Berrington Close.

Collingwood Rigby provides property investment and asset management advice to a broad range of commercial property investors, with its highly experienced team actively managing more than 19 million sq ft of property assets at 156 locations across the UK, from Aberdeen to Cornwall – a portfolio worth around £1.9 billion.

Ian Parker said: “We have worked alongside Collingwood Rigby for many years and were delighted to be asked to help them find the right new offices to secure the firm’s path into the future.

“These offices are a ground floor suite in a 17th century Grade II listed building of superb character, with plenty of car parking space outside. I can’t imagine a better fit between tenant and premises.”

Collingwood Rigby was advised by law firm Shakespeare Martineau.

Redditch-based chartered surveyors and valuers John Truslove was recently named Most Active Agent in Worcestershire in the Radius Data Exchange survey produced in conjunction with EG, the commercial property market magazine.

Joint managing director Ian Parker was also named Worcestershire Dealmaker of the Year AND Warwickshire Dealmaker of the Year for 2020. The survey year, which runs from August to August, saw John Truslove record a 36% increase in deals negotiated over the 12 months.
